About The Position

As an Associate, you will build a strong foundation in corporate banking while contributing directly to the success of our clients and team. Working alongside experienced Relationship Managers, Credit Analysts, and product partners, you will turn financial analysis and market insight into practical solutions for clients across the food and agriculture value chain—developing the skills, judgment, and relationships to grow your career and help us grow a better world together. As an Associate, you will support bankers across the group with a broad range of analytical, relationship-management, and transaction-related activities. Your work will include preparing marketing materials, building financial models, analyzing client credit transactions, coordinating legal and compliance requirements, producing management reports, and tracking income.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • 3+ years of corporate banking or comparable experience.
  • Formal credit training at a major bank is preferred; relevant financial licenses are a plus.
  • Strong skills in client relationship management, prospecting, networking, financial analysis, collaboration, and decision-making.
  • Ability to travel regionally and globally, up to 20%.
  • Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States. Rabobank is unable to sponsor or assume sponsorship of an employment visa for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Relationship Management team: Develop a strong understanding of the client portfolio and covered industries, and help manage those relationships alongside the Relationship Manager.
  • Support client engagement: Provide proactive support that allows Relationship Managers to focus on adding value to client relationships. Participate in client meetings, maintain accurate information in the CRM system (Client Link), support KYC requirements, and contribute to ad hoc business-management projects as needed.
  • Support the Credit team: Build the knowledge and reliability needed for Credit Analysts to assign projects with confidence, completing work accurately and efficiently. Complete relevant training, including CRM courses, and develop a detailed understanding of credit systems.
  • Serve as a product liaison: Connect Relationship Managers with Product Groups by developing and applying the foundational knowledge needed to support specific products, including capital structure analysis and asset-based finance products and solutions. This may include a rotation with product groups in New York.
  • Exercise professionalism, flexibility, sound judgment, and consistent compliance with applicable regulations and Rabobank policies and procedures.
