About The Position

Huntleigh USA is seeking dependable and customer-focused Passenger Service Attendants – Wheelchair Agents to provide safe and courteous assistance to airline passengers who require wheelchair services due to mobility needs or for comfort. The Wheelchair Agent is responsible for safely transporting passengers throughout the airport while providing professional customer service and following all airport, airline, TSA, and Huntleigh USA safety and security requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent may be required depending on location.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must have a reliable telephone number for communication.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be dependable, professional, and customer-service oriented.
  • Must have flexibility and availability to work both AM and PM shifts.
  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as operational needs require.
  • Must be able to successfully complete required background screening and airport security requirements.
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test, as applicable, and comply with random testing requirements.
  • Must be willing and able to complete all required Huntleigh USA, airport, airline, TSA, and job-specific training.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport passengers to and from designated locations throughout the airport while remaining alert to potential hazards.
  • Assist passengers with wheelchair services in a courteous, professional, and respectful manner.
  • Provide passengers with general information and directions as needed.
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude when interacting with passengers, airline personnel, airport staff, and the general public.
  • Coordinate with the dispatcher regarding passenger assignments and service requests.
  • Coordinate with airline and gate agents regarding passengers requiring wheelchair assistance.
  • Comply with all Transportation Security Administration (TSA) checkpoint screening requirements and procedures.
  • Complete required wheelchair logs to accurately document passenger services and wheelchair "pushes."
  • Complete incident reports for accidents, injuries, unusual occurrences, or other out-of-the-ordinary events.
  • Follow all Huntleigh USA, airline, airport, and safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned based on operational needs.
  • Remain flexible and assist with operational needs, including flight delays and late-arriving aircraft.
  • Employees may be required to work beyond their scheduled end time based on operational requirements.
