The Wheelchair Agent will assist passengers with a smile and friendly face through arrival and check-in processes, including support for passengers with special needs such as passengers needing wheelchair assistance. This role handles all aspects of wheelchair support by operating a computerized system, boarding, baggage service, reservations, and resolving related complaints and problems. The agent will also direct passengers through Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine, and assist Ramp Service Agents to ensure that wheelchairs, strollers, and gate-checked bags are made available for loading upon departure and delivery to passengers upon arrival. Additionally, the agent will operate equipment including the jetway, computer keyboards, and carrier-specific reservation/ticketing software, and oversee all customer services issues related to wheelchair-bound customers.
