About The Position

Xcite Automotive is seeking an experienced Automotive Wheel Repair Technician to perform cosmetic and minor structural repairs on alloy wheels in a high-volume dealership environment in San Antonio, Texas. This hands-on, production-based role focuses on restoring wheels to OEM or dealership standards through curb-rash repair, sanding, filling, priming, painting, and color matching.

Requirements

At least 1 year of hands-on automotive wheel repair experience.
Direct experience repairing alloy wheels and rim damage.
Proficiency in sanding, filling, priming, and painting wheels.
Ability to accurately color match wheel finishes.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with mobile wheel repair or dealership reconditioning.
Knowledge of OEM wheel finishes and refinishing processes.
High-volume production or flat-rate experience.
Exposure to minor wheel straightening or welding.
Experience as an automotive wheel repair technician, rim repair technician, or automotive reconditioning technician.
Dealership reconditioning or service department experience.
Automotive paint or refinishing experience.
Collision center cosmetic repair experience.

Responsibilities

Repair curb rash, gouges, scrapes, and other cosmetic damage on alloy wheels.
Sand, grind, fill, prime, and refinish wheels.
Mix and apply paint to accurately match wheel finishes, including silver, black, graphite, and machined finishes.
Operate wheel-repair tools, grinders, sanders, spray equipment, and curing lamps.
Inspect completed repairs to ensure they meet OEM and dealership quality standards.
Meet daily production goals and turnaround times.
Follow safety, environmental, and personal protective equipment procedures.
