About The Position

IMCO Carbide Tool in Perrysburg, Ohio is hiring a Wheel Technician for their Manufacturing department. This role is critical to the manufacturing process and the quality of tools produced. No experience is required as training will be provided to the right candidate. Key qualities include mechanical aptitude, basic math skills, and a strong desire to work.

Requirements

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• General math skills are necessary (a math test will be administered).
• Ability to do hands-on work.
• Effective communication skills (verbal, written).
• Ability to work with a diverse environment.
• Ability to adhere to a schedule on a regular basis.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Problem solving skills.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to safely handle wheels, wheel packs, and tools.
• Ability to follow instruction and operate a machine safely and correctly.
• Flexibility of hands/fingers for handling tools, wheel parts, and for data entry purposes.
• Visual acuity, with or without corrective lenses.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to walk or otherwise ambulate.
• Ability to bend or reach to retrieve materials.

Responsibilities

• Build wheel packs per specifications.
• Dress wheels and maintain equipment.
• Store, organize, and maintain wheel packs.
• Record the usage of wheel packs.
• Take inventory and provide reports as requested.
