About The Position
This role involves operating various equipment to repair wheels, including inspection, cosmetic defect correction, welding, and straightening. The position requires adherence to safety policies and good housekeeping practices. The working environment can have temperatures ranging from 65 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.
Requirements
- Able to lift 30 – 50 lbs. continuously, 60 lbs. on occasion.
- Able to stand for long periods of time.
- Steel toed footwear with slip guard.
- Safety glasses.
- Hearing protection.
- Proper gloves.
- Respirator.
Nice To Haves
- Prior TIG welding experience recommended.
Responsibilities
- Operate each piece of equipment per instructions.
- Thorough wheel inspection & quality control.
- Sand/dress cosmetic defects on face/backside of wheel(s).
- Weld necessary wheels-TIG welding.
- Heat/straighten wheels using wheel press.
- Perform Mill work.
- Follow company safety policies, procedures, and good housekeeping practices.
