About The Position

This role involves operating various equipment to repair wheels, performing thorough inspections, and ensuring quality control. Tasks include sanding cosmetic defects, welding (TIG welding experience recommended), and straightening wheels using a wheel press. Some mill work is also required. The position emphasizes following company safety policies, procedures, and good housekeeping practices. The working environment can have temperatures ranging from 65 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

Requirements

  • Able to lift 30 – 50 lbs. continuously, 60 lbs. on occasion.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours.
  • This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to observe and inspect part quality.
  • Lift and move totes weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching, both below the waist and above the head.
  • Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variation and able to access all areas of the building without limitations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate each piece of equipment per instructions.
  • Thorough wheel inspection & quality control.
  • Sand/dress cosmetic defects on face/backside of wheel(s).
  • Weld necessary wheels-TIG welding (prior experience recommended).
  • Heat/straighten wheels using wheel press.
  • Perform Mill work.
  • Follow company safety policies, procedures, and good housekeeping practices.
