About The Position

Requirements

• Previous experience operating log trucks is mandatory.
• A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is not required, as the position operates exclusively within the yard.
• Strong understanding of log yard safety and ability to operate in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Strong attendance record and ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to climb in and out of the truck multiple times per shift.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment.
• Ability to work safely around heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate log trucks within the sawmill yard to move logs from storage to designated production areas.
• Safely navigate trucks in confined spaces, around heavy machinery, log decks, and other vehicles.
• Assist with staging, organizing, and sorting logs to support continuous mill production.
• Perform pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any maintenance issues, leaks, or damage to supervisors.
• Adhere strictly to all yard traffic patterns, safety regulations, and OSHA standards.
• Coordinate with loader operators, crane operators, and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow
