About The Position

The Warehouse Superintendent is responsible for all operations in Warehouse 3, including the packaging department. The Warehouse Superintendent will be responsible for the supervision and management of the packaging and warehousing disciplines at Warehouse 3 (WH3). These functions include but are not limited to managing the packaging, shipping and warehousing operations for liquid sugar, bulk, organic molasses, and the 5 high speed packaging lines.

Requirements

Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
The Warehouse 3 Packaging Manager will have 50+ people reporting to him/her as well as 3 production supervisors so following up and organization skills are essential.
Able to be trusted with high sensitive and confidential information at all times.
Experience with, and ability to create & maintain various management reports.
Must have intermediate computer experience, ideally with SAP, EWM, and Microsoft products.
Excellent skills in estimating rates, adding, and subtracting mentally while constantly multi-tasking.
Reconciles daily activities including receiving discrepancies and shipment accuracy.
Insures that all storage areas are organized and clean daily.
Three or more years of proven accomplishments in the supervision of warehouse employees, including training, coaching, and team building.
Must meet hiring eligibility requirements including background investigation and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Meet daily efficiency targets and work to reduce downtime to achieve targets.
Analyze and review all standards for packaging lines and ensure compliance to the schedule.
Comply with all OSHA safety requirements.
Ensure that employees’ safety training is conducted as required by company policy.
Make sure that all PPE and GMP policies are being followed by all.
Ensure safety inspections and safety talks are completed based on requirements.
Responsible for ensuring that all lines produce a quality product that meets the company’s standards.
Maintain and improve inventory accuracy of the warehouse and coordinates required transfers with related departments.
Directly supervise and coordinate the day-to-day duties of the packaging supervisors and union employees for both packaging and shipping at WH3.
Ensure Labor Contract is followed by all employees and reports any potential violation.
Initiate disciplinary measures according to the Labor Contract.
Review hourly employees’ performance and identify training needs.
Provide appropriate resources to supervisors and staff to ensure optimal job performance.
Review of daily reports with staff.
Review and improve employee utilization.
