This position is accountable for installing underground wet utility systems including water mains, sanitary sewers, and storm drainage systems. Work includes measuring, cutting, and laying pipe, connecting joints, aligning and leveling pipe to grade specifications, and ensuring proper bedding, backfilling, and compaction. The Wet Utility Pipelayer is also responsible for assisting equipment operators, maintaining a safe trench environment, and ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards. The incumbent must have the ability and flexibility to work different shifts and long hours (8-12 hours). Weekend work and extra hours occur according to production needs and at the discretion of the Crew Supervisor.
