About The Position

Egis is seeking a Wet Utilities Engineer to join their Infrastructure team. This role involves assisting project leaders in delivering successful infrastructure projects, with a focus on wet utilities such as potable water, sewer, storm, irrigation, district cooling, and firefighting systems. The engineer will be responsible for preparing technical specifications, drawings, and documentation, conducting technical and quality reviews, and performing hydrological and hydraulic modeling. The position requires a strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and regulations, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Wet Utilities.
  • Experience in design of Wet Utilities including Potable Water, Sewer, Storm, Irrigation, District cooling, and Firefighting.
  • Working knowledge of relevant software packages like HEC HMS, HEC RAS, EPANET, WaterCAD, InfoWorks, SewerCAD, StormCAD, SWMM.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and lead large-scale projects.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Experience and familiarity with the following programs are a plus: ArcGIS, MicroStation, MicroDrainage, HAMMER.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in delivering Infrastructure projects, supporting project leaders in delivering successful outcomes.
  • Prepare and review detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation.
  • Prepare reports, calculations, and design documentation.
  • Conduct technical and quality reviews of projects, identifying and addressing potential issues to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Develop and assess surface water drainage systems to ensure efficient stormwater management and adherence to local regulations.
  • Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modeling to inform design decisions and evaluate the impacts of drainage systems.
  • Prepare design using Civil 3D software for BIM environment.
  • Knowledge of clash resolution of utilities modeling software like Navisworks, Bentley Navigator, Autodesk Civil 3D.
