Requirements

• 1+ years in live theater tech, stage crew, or theme park stunt show operations.
• Comfort working directly over and around deep water.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs, climb tall scaffolding or diving platforms, and work dynamically in a humid, high-energy environment.
• PADI certification is required.

Nice To Haves

• Standard scuba certification or basic lifeguard safety knowledge is a massive plus, though companies often provide on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Managing the mechanical lifts, traps, and moving stage elements that transition the floor from a solid stage to an open diving pool during the show.
• Ensuring the splash zones and diving platforms are clear of debris, managing props used in water sequences, and verifying visual safety cues for the divers and high-diving performers.
• Operating and troubleshooting specialized water systems, including underwater lighting, pumps, splash-back drains, and pool filtration systems.
• Performing daily checks on mechanical deck seals, water levels, and emergency underwater safety equipment.
