About The Position

Iron Oak Energy is seeking a night-shift Wet Plant Lead for its Wyeville, WI. Plant location. The Wet Plant Lead is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and support to the Wet Plant night shift while ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This position serves as the first point of contact for the shift and works closely with operations, maintenance, and management to meet production goals.

Requirements

  • Driver’s license required.
  • Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role, or demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and communication abilities.
  • Working knowledge of Wet Plant equipment and processes.
  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and controls plant operating systems.
  • Constantly reviews the operation of the plant to monitor production and quality, anticipating and solving problems in a timely manner, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Participates in projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
  • Maintains adequate records of key production variables such as production volume, yield, plant uptime, utility consumption, etc. on a daily, weekly, and/or monthly basis as required.
  • Participates in Quality Assurance program by communicating directly with QA laboratory to ensure effective participation in the implementation of QA policies and procedures.
  • Samples and tests process streams as required by the QA program and procedures.
  • Understands and interprets QA results and takes appropriate action when required.
  • Participates in plant maintenance program.
  • Communicates directly with the maintenance department to coordinate maintenance and repair work in process areas.
  • Performs preventative maintenance activities as required.
  • Assists maintenance technicians in performing maintenance and repairs.
  • Assists with diagnosing and trouble-shooting maintenance related issues.
  • Assists with mining operations and direction to the excavating contractor in regards to location/material to be delivered to the Wet Plant.
  • Drafting performance reviews and participating in coaching and discipline for hourly employees.
