About The Position

Anchor Fabrication has immediate openings for highly motivated Painter’s to join our Coatings department. Position Summary: The Painter Level 1 role is to apply paint and other coatings to various materials and surfaces. They are responsible for properly preparing surfaces, selecting and mixing appropriate paints, and ensuring that the final coatings meet quality standards. They are highly motivated and have a desire to work in a fast paced, quality centered environment. This role is vital to ensuring our customers’ needs are consistently met, promoting our company’s continued strong national growth.

Requirements

Must be able to read and understand measuring devices, i.e. tape measures.
Experience with high power tools (i.e. impacts, wrenches, etc.)
Previous experience with industrial painting.
Demonstrated punctual and dependable performance.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience working in the industrial manufacturing industry preferred.

Responsibilities

Work under the direction of the department Supervisor to assist with daily operations.
Follow instructions during the operation process.
Responsible for continually maintaining a clean working environment.
Painters must be able to mix paint properly to the correct mixing ratio. Most paint will be mixed by the Mixing Specialist, but the Painter must know how to properly mix paint when necessary.
A paint test will be required and will be scored on appearance and technique.
Painter must be capable of setting up pressure pots.
Painters must be capable of operating HVLP (High Volume Low Pressure) guns.
Painter will have to be able to use wet film gage
Painter will have to be able to use dry film thickness gage
Painter will have to be able to read and understand job travelers to properly complete the traveler once operation has been completed.
Painters must clean and maintain all painting equipment.
Use protective equipment when necessary, following all safety procedures.
May perform other duties as assigned.
