About The Position

The Wet Lab Technician performs the testing of products within the wet lab department. This role involves working with a wide range of chemicals, performing titrations and analyses on samples, and recording results in online software. The technician will identify trends from analysis, notify engineering if applicable, and acquire samples from process tanks. Responsibilities include handling acid and caustic chemistry, generating chemical add slips, entering corrective actions in software, and communicating regularly with supervisors and managers. The role also involves preparing and completing work daily, reporting accidents and safety concerns, and utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Full participation in safety training and understanding of safety procedures are required.

• Ability to read and understand procedures and blue prints.
• Ability to be flexible with daily job requirements as well as the ability to multitask
• Works up to 9 hours a day, 5 days a week, and is flexible to work on weekends.
• Standing up to 8 hours per day.
• Has fine motor skills and rapid mental-muscular coordination
• High School Diploma
• Basic understanding of chemistry
• Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

• Comfortable handling acid and caustic chemistry during analysis process
• Generate chemical add slips when necessary based on analysis
• Enter corrective action in software when results of analysis are out of spec
• Communicates regularly to supervisors and managers, suggests and composes procedural changes, maintains a clean, safe work environment, and communicates safety hazards and issues.
• Generates, accumulates, and handles hazardous wastes generated in daily operations, as directed by the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager.
• Involved in the preparation and completion of work on a daily basis
• Reporting of all accidents, near misses and safety concerns.
• Perform job duties utilizing the required and appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Full participation in safety training and the ability to understand and follow the directions identified in Job Safety Analysis (JSA), PPE Assessments, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and all Safety Procedures and Alerts.
