Intel Foundry Technology and Development is hiring a research-driven Wet Etch Module Development Engineer to develop advanced wet etch and cleaning processes for semiconductor manufacturing. The role applies chemical kinetics, interfacial surface science, and manufacturing engineering to atomic-layer selective etching, nanoscale surface cleans, advanced drying, wet chemical formulations, and single-wafer wet tool architectures. The engineer will develop and validate processes supporting advanced transistor architectures, backside power delivery, and high-density interconnect scaling. The position combines experimental research, equipment and chemical supplier collaboration, computational modeling, data science, intellectual-property development, and the scale-up of laboratory processes to 300mm manufacturing in Intel fabs. The role is based in Hillsboro, Oregon, and is eligible for Intel’s hybrid work model. The posted annual salary range is $133,800–$188,890, with actual pay depending on location and job-related factors.
