About The Position

Wellpoint Federal (WF) is a proud member of Elevance Health's family of brands. We administer government contracts for Medicare and partner with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and other federal agencies to transform federal health programs. The WF Account Management Executive is responsible for identifying and developing new business within the federal health care market.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic planning, business development, or related experience with federal agencies; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • This position is part of our Wellpoint Federal- Health and Human Services division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants meet the residency requirement of living in the United States at least three of the past five years.

Responsibilities

  • Supports designated client and partner relationships while collaborating with profit and loss (P&L), marketing, and business development shared services.
  • Develops and executes account strategies and call plans.
  • Builds customer and partner relationships throughout the industry.
  • Supports the development and maintenance of an opportunity pipeline.
  • Assists with prioritizing opportunities and contributing to solution development in advance of request for proposal release.
  • Participates in teaming discussions and supports the capture and proposal processes.
  • Contributes to market analysis, including competitor assessments during pre-capture phases of the business development lifecycle.
