About The Position

Provides screening and educational services for health fairs and companies we serve. This is a PRN Wellness Screener position with variable hours based on business needs. Team members can expect to work approximately 20–40 hours per year. There is no set schedule, and hours will vary depending on screening events and clinic needs. Occasional weekend availability is required. This role requires flexibility, as schedules may vary and assignments are based on operational needs throughout the year.

Requirements

  • Previous phlebotomy experience
  • Ability to perform blood draws with confidence and accuracy
  • Comfortable administering injections
  • Experience collecting laboratory specimens and supporting occupational health or wellness screening services preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a variety of settings
  • High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience
  • One year health care experience, certification as a Nursing Assistant, Health Screener, Certified Health Education Specialist, other related credentials

  • Experience collecting laboratory specimens and supporting occupational health or wellness screening services

Responsibilities

  • Provides health screenings to participants at health fairs and companies we serve. Screenings may include, but are not limited to: finger stick, cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose, body fat, BMI, bone density, and/or fitness screening.
  • Provides one-on-one or group education.
  • Teaches participants how to apply information gained.
  • Complies with all designated federal, state, local laws and organizational safety policies and procedures in the work area, including the use of applicable protective equipment when necessary to prevent exposure to potentially infectious agents.
  • Coordinates schedules and calendars.
  • Provides system navigation services to customers as needed.
  • Encourages participants to make healthy lifestyle changes.
  • Recommends changes or additions to programs.
  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
