About The Position

Stroudwater Lodge is hiring a full-time Wellness Nurse (RN or LPN) for its assisted living community. The nurse provides care tailored to residents’ needs, supports comprehensive and consistent care, and helps residents live their lives to the fullest. The role includes assessing residents’ health, administering and monitoring medications, maintaining records, responding to emergencies, communicating with families, and advocating for residents’ rights and preferences. A valid, active RN or LPN license is required. Criminal background screening and an annual influenza vaccine are required.

Requirements

Possess a valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, and explain medical information clearly.
Analyze situations, make sound decisions, and provide appropriate solutions in a timely manner.
Demonstrate high ethical standards, respect residents’ privacy, and maintain professionalism.
Maintain strong record-keeping skills.
Provide care with kindness and empathy.
Complete criminal background screening.
Receive an annual influenza vaccine.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with a team to develop, implement, and review personalized resident care plans.
Conduct health assessments and identify medical concerns or changes.
Work with healthcare professionals to create effective care plans.
Administer prescribed medications accurately and in accordance with protocols.
Monitor medication effectiveness and address side effects promptly.
Maintain accurate records of medical information, care plans, and incidents to support regulatory compliance and continuity of care.
Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency services when needed.
Communicate with residents’ families about residents’ health and changes.
Advocate for residents’ rights and preferences.
