About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Wellness Nurse Manager to join our team at Vitalia Senior Residences in Strongsville, Ohio. This full-time position offers a competitive starting wage of $31.50-$39.00 per hour. The Wellness Nurse Manager plays a crucial role in supervising the Wellness team, ensuring person-centered care, and assisting residents with their needs. This role requires a compassionate caregiver who can accurately document resident information and exemplify the core values of Arrow Senior Living. The position involves being active on the floor, assisting with call lights, and demonstrating a sense of urgency to meet resident needs. In the absence of department heads, this position is in charge of the building, actively leading and supporting various departments.

Requirements

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing within state of employment.
  • Thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulation and law.
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds and perform two-person transfers.
  • Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hands-on care of memory-impaired residents is preferred.
  • Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Be active in the department, assisting and leading the Wellness team and other departments in ensuring quick, reliable, and person-centered care is provided.
  • Be available to help with call lights, requests for assistance from the team, and demonstrate a sense of urgency that puts the needs, great or small, of a resident first.
  • Complete resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents accurately and efficiently, and file them correctly.
  • Exemplify the core values at the heart of Arrow, ensuring each interaction with a resident is professional, caring, and ends with the resident feeling safe and cared for.
  • In the absence of department heads, this position is in charge of the building.
