About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Wellness Nurse Manager to join our team at Boulevard St Charles. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to lead and support the Wellness team while ensuring the highest quality of person-centered care for our residents. The role involves being a supervisor in the absence of department heads, actively assisting the team, and setting a positive example on the floor by responding to resident needs with urgency. Diligent documentation of resident assessments and medical records is crucial, as is embodying the core values of Arrow Senior Living in all interactions to ensure residents feel safe and cared for.
Requirements
- Must have current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing within state of employment.
- Must have thorough working knowledge of current care standards and regulations.
- Must have comprehensive working knowledge of current medication regulation and law.
- Must have knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Must have the ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds and perform two-person transfers.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
- Can read, write, understand, and communicate in English with our Residents!
- Must have a positive and energetic attitude who will LOVE our Residents!
Nice To Haves
- Experience in hands-on care of memory impaired residents is preferred, but not required.
- Experience with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) as it is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- In the absence of department heads, this position is in charge of the building.
- Be active in the department, assisting and leading the Wellness team and other departments in ensuring quick, reliable, and person-centered care is provided.
- Be available to help with call lights, requests for assistance from the team, and demonstrate a sense of urgency that puts the needs, great or small, of a resident first.
- Complete resident assessments, medical records, and internal documents accurately and efficiently, and file them correctly.
- Exemplify the core values at the heart of Arrow, ensuring each interaction with a resident is professional, caring, and ends with the resident feeling safe and cared for.
- Provide direct (hands-on) nursing care, including medication passes as needed.
