About The Position

Allegro Parkland, a prestigious senior living community, is seeking a compassionate and dependable Part-Time Wellness Nurse (LPN) for weekend shifts. This role involves providing clinical oversight and nursing care for Assisted Living residents, administering medications and treatments, monitoring resident health, and supervising non-licensed care associates. The position offers a consistent weekend schedule of every Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, allowing for a flexible week. The Wellness Nurse is responsible for supervising the delivery of care and services to residents, adhering to all state and local regulations, and maintaining ongoing communication with associates, residents, families, and healthcare providers.

Requirements

  • Active LPN license in good standing in Florida
  • CPR certification
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing with the state licensing agency, as required by state regulations.
  • CPR/AED certified.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience working as an LPN in a senior care setting.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • Dependable and available every Saturday and Sunday

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in SNIF or ALF settings
  • Strong clinical judgment and compassionate, resident-centered approach
  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical oversight and nursing care for Assisted Living residents throughout your shift
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plans
  • Monitor resident health and respond promptly to changes in condition
  • Supervise and support non-licensed care associates on your shift
  • Communicate resident updates accurately to the oncoming team
  • Be the calm, capable clinical presence residents count on every weekend
  • Provide daily supervision and leadership to assigned non-licensed associates and other designated personnel in meeting the residents needs and monitor the condition of residents in AL.
  • Demonstrate good decision-making skills.
  • Make work assignments and meet with associates regularly to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/or the improvement of care and services.
  • Provide resident care according to health care providers orders and in accordance with regulatory requirements, recognized nursing practice, established standards, and Company policy.
  • Accurately administer prescribed medications, supervise the continuity of resident care, respond to changes in resident condition, medications, or other circumstances requiring special care needs and perform first aid as required.
