About The Position

Aegis Therapies, a leading provider of rehabilitation and wellness services, is seeking a Wellness Instructor in Restorative Care to join their team. This role involves working with the therapy team to deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs within a rehabilitation center, skilled nursing facility, or senior care wellness setting. The position offers comprehensive restorative training, with no prior restorative experience required, though a CNA certification is necessary. Responsibilities include assisting in the restorative care of patients with a focus on ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, range of motion, and prosthetic care, while minimizing less desirable CNA tasks. The role is part of the EnerG by Aegis program, which focuses on a holistic approach to wellness across seven dimensions.

Requirements

• Current certification as Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA in state of practice

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or equivalent, preferred.
• Specialty certification as personal trainer, exercise specialist, fitness instructor, health and fitness specialist or similar area, preferred.
• Background in exercise and activity training with senior populations, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities including ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, and splint/prosthesis care.
