About The Position

American House Senior Living is hiring an experienced Wellness Director (LPN or RN) to lead our clinical team and oversee resident health services in our assisted living community. This role is an opportunity to lead a dedicated team while making a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors every day. As the Wellness Director, you'll oversee resident care, lead and develop the Wellness team, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with residents, families, physicians, and community leadership to deliver exceptional care.

Requirements

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience in healthcare.
  • Experience supervising clinical teams.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of gerontology and senior care.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation, or Senior Living.
  • Experience with state surveys, regulatory compliance, and clinical operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all clinical operations for the Wellness Department.
  • Ensure residents receive exceptional, person-centered care.
  • Complete resident assessments prior to move-in and as needed.
  • Oversee medication administration and medication management.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, hospitals, home health, hospice, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers.
  • Serve as the primary clinical contact for residents and their families.
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop Wellness team members.
  • Build a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and ongoing coaching.
  • Ensure staff maintain required licenses, certifications, and mandatory education.
  • Develop staffing schedules to support quality resident care.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.
  • Lead infection prevention, medication safety, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs.
  • Oversee the Medication Aide program, including delegation, competency validation, and supervision.
  • Investigate resident concerns, incidents, and grievances while implementing appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and resident records.
  • Manage the Wellness Department budget.
  • Ensure adequate staffing, supplies, and clinical equipment.
  • Partner with the Executive Director and Regional Leadership to support community success.
  • Prepare reports and communicate department updates to leadership.
