The Wellness Counselor provides outreach, individual, group, and crisis counseling as assigned to students enrolled in all programs with ACHE. The primary focus of the position is wellness counseling that supports student success. This position will also provide referrals for additional concentrated mental health services as needed. Provide and support direct student wellness and mental health interventions for students dealing with cognitive, social, interpersonal communication skills or emotional behaviors which interfere with their success. Provide individual and group counseling to students in the educational environment. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, faculty, staff, and other constituent groups in support of student success. Effectively collaborate with student-facing departments for appropriate student wellness support. Provide crisis assessments, intervention, and referral services for students experiencing urgent mental health concerns. Will assist with occasional crisis situations outside of normal work hours. Maintain HIPAA compliant documentation and comply with HIPAA, FERPA, and other relevant laws and regulations. Provide Student Wellness Coaching Services alongside Clinical Therapy for students. Coordinate and consult on student cases with the Director of Counseling and Wellness Services if necessary.
