Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from accredited institution preferred, Exercise Science and/or Sports medicine related field; or 5+ years’ experience coordinating Wellness Programs.
• Must hold current BLS certification.
• Previous Wellness experience required.
• Two years of experience planning, teaching, and motivating individuals.
• Two years of experience in working with the elderly population.
• Fluent providing Exercise Prescriptions and conducting individual and group sessions on topics related to all dimensions of wellness.
• Must possess characteristics such as good written and verbal communication, innovative, a self-starter, and team player.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education activities to stay updated with advancements in the field.

Nice To Haves

• ACSM certification preferred.
• Experience with aquatics and/or Tai Chi preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of the wellness classes and programming for their campus(es).
• Lead classes.
• Develop programming.
• Conduct fitness testing.
• Maintain accurate recordkeeping for all wellness services provided through Functional Pathways.
