About The Position

The Wellness Consultant helps clients look and feel their best while supporting sales goals in a welcoming, team-oriented salon environment. The role combines client consultations and education with customer service, sales, salon upkeep, cash and card-data handling, and support for store promotions and goals. Pay averages $10.00–$15.00+ per hour, consisting of base pay and up to 12% commission; top performers may earn more. The position includes sales and leadership training, goal-setting training, and opportunities for career advancement. Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or supporting other salon locations.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Basic computer and POS skills.
A consistent work schedule and punctuality.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to stand for 7 or more hours per day and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
Greet and consult with clients in a professional, upbeat manner.
Educate customers on the Golden Rules of Tanning.
Provide customer service that encourages clients to return.
Keep the salon clean and organized and ensure it meets health department standards.
Handle cash, opening and closing duties, and customer card data securely; complete PCI security training.
Track goals and complete daily paperwork.
Support the Store Manager and team with promotions and store goals.
Follow company and legal requirements.
