About The Position

The Wellness Consultant helps clients look and feel their best while meeting sales goals in a welcoming, team-oriented salon environment. The role provides customer consultations, education about tanning, and customer service, while supporting salon operations and store goals. Compensation averages $10–$15+ per hour, including base pay and up to 12% commission; top performers may earn more. Training and opportunities for career advancement are available. Salons are open seven days a week, and schedules are designed with flexibility in mind. Some nights, weekends, and holidays are expected. Occasional local travel may be needed for meetings, training, or support at other salon locations. This is a security-sensitive position.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Basic computer and point-of-sale (POS) skills.
A consistent work schedule and punctuality.
Reliable transportation.
Ability to be on your feet for 7 or more hours a day and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Meet daily, weekly, and monthly sales goals.
Greet and consult with clients in a professional, upbeat manner.
Educate customers on the Golden Rules of Tanning.
Provide customer service that encourages clients to return.
Keep the salon clean and organized and ensure it meets health department standards.
Handle cash, opening and closing duties, and customer card data securely; PCI security training is included.
Track goals and complete daily paperwork.
Support the Store Manager and team with promotions and store goals.
Follow all company and legal requirements.
