About The Position

The San Diego Unified School District is seeking a Wellness Center Coordinator to cultivate a safe, inclusive space for students to share wellness concerns, seek guidance, and access resources that support social-emotional and mental wellbeing. This role involves building, sustaining, and integrating systems of supports in collaboration with the school community and service providers. The coordinator will implement comprehensive social-emotional, mental health, and wellness education and prevention programs, performing related work to ensure all services and programs align with student wellness goals.

Requirements

  • Any combination of training, experience, and/or education equivalent to an Associate’s degree in psychology, social services, education, public health, health and human services, school counseling, or a related field.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible, related experience working with students and families in the TK-12 educational system or with organizations that service school communities.
  • A completed online employment application submitted/received electronically by the closing date.

Nice To Haves

  • Community Health Worker certification preferred.
  • Wellness Coach certification preferred.
