The Parkview Family YMCA seeks an enthusiastic and attentive part-time Wellness Center Assistant to join our team to create a welcoming atmosphere that leaves a memorable impression on new and current members.

Requirements

• Must be 15 years or older and must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work
• Strong human relations skills and ability to communicate with participants and program staff.
• Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Nice To Haves

• Experience and/or certification from a national organization is preferred.
• Previous fitness experience with basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Strong human relations skills and ability to communicate with participants and program staff.
• Provide a level of service by connecting with members and their wellness goals, ensuring the safety of members using the facilities, and the ability to respond to emergency situations.
• Orient members with the fitness equipment to ensure a safe and positive environment for the participants to succeed in their wellness goals.
