Job Summary: The Wellness and Benefits Specialist will be responsible for Leading and administrating a comprehensive health and wellness program for Network Connex including coordinating plans, providing a wellness program, and partnering with stakeholders to promote healthy lifestyles.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems

  • SHRM-CP is a plus
  • Spanish language proficiency a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining all Health Benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, voluntary benefits
  • Support open enrollment for company
  • Monitor New Hire Enrollments and manage New Hire Kit distribution
  • Monitor Termed Employee Benefits
  • Monitor Cobra Benefits
  • Manage Tuition Reimbursement Program
  • Maintain and manage reporting for the 401K Plan. Audit 401K deferrals
  • Assist in preparing for 5500 filing annually
  • Research and prepare communications for Wellness Programs and Resources for Employees
  • Assist in Administering Short Term Disability, FMLA and other leaves of absence.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the Safety team to maintain accurate records of worker’s compensation cases in relation to FMLA
  • Reconcile and maintain monthly benefit carrier invoicing with internal Finance team
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits and leave
  • Work closely with the HR team on various day to day HR tasks
  • Maintains the HRIS to ensure data accuracy and compliance
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
  • Performs other duties as assigned
