Samaritan Daytop Village is seeking a dynamic Wellness Ambassador (CRPA or CRPA-Provisional) to drive community-based recovery services for the PARC Bronx and Queens programs under the innovative Elevance Food as Medicine Initiative. In this hands-on, split-site role, you will champion health equity by facilitating weekly nutrition workshops, leading cooking demonstrations, and delivering daily "Wellness Moments" to participants. Blending peer advocacy with wellness education, you will empower individuals facing food insecurity and diet-related conditions to improve their health outcomes and connect with vital recovery-oriented supports. As a key community liaison, you will balance direct participant engagement with essential administrative duties, including conducting outreach presentations to build partnerships and maintaining meticulous data tracking for compliance. This role requires a flexible schedule (including occasional evenings and Saturdays) and the ability to travel between the Bronx and Queens. If you possess shared lived experience with substance use recovery, strong organizational skills, and a passion for integrating nutrition into the recovery process, this is an impactful opportunity to help individuals reconnect with natural supports and enhance their quality of life.
