About The Position

This internship will follow an in-person model. Interns will be based at one of the Stellantis manufacturing plants located in the Toledo, OH area. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates who meet specific eligibility criteria. The internship program is scheduled to run from May through August 2027. The Stellantis Internship Program offers a unique opportunity for highly motivated, innovative, and inspired individuals to work on challenging assignments where contribution, teamwork, and communication are vital to success. Interns will gain real-world experience, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop professionally through structured activities and networking events. Wellbeing, Health, and Safety (WHS) interns at our manufacturing facility are immersed in real-world roles that provide hands-on exposure to all levels of our dynamic HR team. As part of their journey, interns rotate through key functional areas of manufacturing HR—gaining insight into labor relations, staffing, compliance, and employee engagement. All of this takes place in the heart of production, where we proudly build world-class Stellantis vehicles, including legendary brands like Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, and Ram. It’s more than an internship—it’s a front-row seat to the people side of automotive excellence.

Requirements

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Completion of freshman year or higher at an accredited university by Spring 2027.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Able to work full-time, 40 hours per week during the internship.
Willingness to work in-person at a Toledo, OH-area manufacturing plant, as applicable.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Willing and able to work in a manufacturing plant environment.

Responsibilities

Support the implementation and administration of standardized Wellbeing, Health, and Safety processes to ensure compliance with Federal, State, Provincial, and Local regulations, as well as Stellantis policies.
Work closely with plant WHS teams and gain exposure to conducting safety audits and assessments.
Support WHS training programs and compliance tracking.
Analyze injury/illness data and assist with root cause analysis.
Participate in new equipment safety reviews.
Assist with safety reporting, documentation, and regulatory inspections.
Contribute to WHS improvement projects and initiatives aligned with Stellantis Production Way (SPW) and OHSAS 18001 standards.
