About The Position

CV-Tek is seeking a hands-on Welding Supervisor to lead our 2nd Shift manufacturing team. This role involves approximately 80% hands-on TIG welding and fabrication work alongside the team, and 20% dedicated to leading, coaching, developing, and holding employees accountable. The company manufactures high-quality stainless steel food packaging equipment. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing beautiful stainless steel TIG welds, enjoys mentoring others, and wants to help build a culture of excellence.

Requirements

Strong TIG welding experience
Experience welding stainless steel
Previous leadership, lead person, or supervisory experience
Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints
Excellent attention to detail
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently
Commitment to quality and safety
Ability to stand for the entire shift
Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
Ability to work overtime when needed

Supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment

Welding certifications
Experience developing and mentoring junior welders

Responsibilities

Lead a small 2nd Shift manufacturing team consisting of welders and CNC machinists
Perform hands-on TIG welding and fabrication work
Ensure all work meets CV-Tek's quality and cosmetic standards
Support production priorities and coordinate with 1st Shift leadership
Train and develop less experienced welders
Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance
Enforce safety requirements and best practices
Coach employees and hold them accountable for performance, attendance, quality, and safety expectations
Foster a positive and professional team environment
Help drive continuous improvement throughout the operation
