About The Position

Premier Global Links LLC is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations with primary responsibility for the Welding Department. This role oversees MIG, TIG, and robotic welding operations while ensuring production schedules, quality standards, safety requirements, and delivery goals are consistently achieved. The ideal candidate is a hands-on manufacturing leader with strong welding knowledge, production supervision experience, and a track record of improving productivity and developing high-performing teams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing experience with significant exposure to welding operations.
  • 2+ years of production supervisory experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of MIG, TIG, and robotic welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or trade school education.
  • Experience in high-mix or high-volume manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of WPS/PQR documentation.
  • Experience with ERP systems and production reporting tools.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement programs.
  • Familiarity with AWS, ASME, or ISO quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily production with primary oversight of welding operations.
  • Manage MIG, TIG, and robotic welding activities and downstream production processes.
  • Ensure production schedules, quality requirements, and delivery commitments are met.
  • Balance labor and workflow to maintain throughput and minimize bottlenecks.
  • Monitor KPIs including productivity, efficiency, scrap, rework, and on-time delivery.
  • Partner with Quality, Planning, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve production issues.
  • Support weld quality initiatives, inspections, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable OSHA, AWS, ASME, ISO, and company safety and quality requirements.
  • Promote proper PPE use, safe welding practices, ventilation, and workplace safety.
  • Hire, train, coach, and develop welders, operators, and production employees.
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, attendance, overtime, and performance.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S, waste reduction, workflow improvement, and cross-training.
  • Identify opportunities to improve weld cell utilization, arc-on time, productivity, and reduce rework.
  • Maintain accurate production records and reporting.
  • Support equipment improvements and process enhancement projects.
