About The Position

TempToHire Chase Staffing is currently hiring Beamline Welding Machine Operators in the Adairsville, GA area! The Beamline Welding Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, operating, and maintaining automated welding robots to produce high-quality beam components. This position ensures welds meet quality standards by monitoring robotic welding operations, performing quality inspections, troubleshooting equipment, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using precision measuring tools.
  • Must be able to lift and move materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
  • Must have a strong work ethic, dependable attendance, and a sense of urgency.
  • Must be willing to complete a drug screen at Piedmont Urgent Care.
  • Must be able to come into our office TODAY to complete onboarding paperwork.
  • Must be able to pass a 7-year background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational training is a plus.
  • Previous manufacturing experience with stamping, roll forming, or automated equipment is preferred.
  • Experience operating automated welding robots is preferred.
  • Knowledge of TCP (Torch Center Point) Control is preferred.
  • Basic MIG/TIG welding experience is preferred; welding certification is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor automated beamline welding robots.
  • Load and unload beam components using fixtures and jigs.
  • Program and adjust welding parameters, including power, speed, and weld patterns, based on engineering specifications.
  • Position and adjust robotic welding equipment with supervisor approval.
  • Perform quality inspections using tape measures, gauges, calipers, measuring stations, and weld control cameras.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, including changing contact tips, gas nozzles, gas distributors, and other consumable parts.
  • Troubleshoot robotic welding equipment and resolve production issues.
  • Complete production logs, quality documentation, and downtime reports.
  • Follow all safety procedures, maintain required PPE, and keep the work area clean and organized.
