About The Position

As the Trainer for the Accelevation School of Welding, you will own the performance, consistency, and output of our welding academy across Ohio and Mississippi. You will ensure we consistently develop skilled, production-ready welders who meet Accelevation’s quality, safety, and operational standards while supporting our rapidly growing manufacturing operations. This role is critical to building a scalable welding workforce and ensuring training programs align with workforce planning, production demand, and manufacturing excellence.

Requirements

  • Experience in welding, manufacturing, skilled trades, or workforce development leadership
  • Strong technical knowledge of welding processes used in production and manufacturing environments
  • Proven ability to train, mentor, coach, and influence others effectively
  • Experience partnering with Operations, Production, Quality, and Manufacturing teams
  • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in training program development, workforce development, or multi-site training operations preferred
  • Welding certifications, including AWS certifications or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), are a plus but not required
  • Passion for developing skilled trades professionals and building high-performing teams

Responsibilities

  • Own the direction, performance, and consistency of the Accelevation School of Welding in Miamisburg while adhering to enterprise curriculum standards and training requirements
  • Ensure welding training output aligns with workforce planning needs, production demand, and quality expectations
  • Refine and continuously improve welding curriculum to reflect real-world manufacturing and production requirements
  • Define, administer, and enforce welding competency standards, assessments, certifications, and progression criteria
  • Coach, mentor, and support the development of welding instructors across multiple locations
  • Partner closely with Operations leaders to translate shop floor requirements into training priorities and workforce development plans
  • Track and improve key performance metrics, including program completion rates, weld quality, certification success, and production readiness
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across curriculum development, instructional delivery, and training effectiveness
  • Support training efforts across multiple shifts as business needs require
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and craftsmanship throughout all training activities
