About The Position

ESPEC North America (ENA) is seeking a Welding Fabricator I to join their Weld Department. This role involves welding and fabricating steel structural frames and sheet metal frames for environmental test chambers. The company offers a 4-day work week with some Friday overtime, no mandatory weekend work, and opportunities for advancement in a clean environment. The position is responsible for assisting the department with welding and fabricating steel structural frames and sheet metal frames for environmental test chambers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, required.
• Ability to read prints required.
• Ability to read a tape measure required.
• Ability to read and comprehend multiple step instructions (in the English language), short correspondence, and memos.
• Regular physical attendance is required.
• While performing the duties of this Job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.
• The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.

Nice To Haves

• Welding certificate preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grinds, cuts, and copes steel.
• Fabricates steel.
• Builds sheet metal frames and steel frames.
• Assists with job set up.
• Performs TIG and MIG welding.
• Reads and interprets blueprints.
• Daily use of hand and power tools.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Regular physical attendance is required.
• Performs other routine duties as assigned.
