Requirements
- At least four years of MIG welding and fabrication experience
- 2 years leading, coaching, and mentoring a production team.
- Can read blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Experience working with mild steel, measuring tools, and fabrication equipment
- Experience with SolidWorks
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and email to communicate, manage information, and support daily production activities.
- Safely lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet throughout the workday in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead the daily welding and fabrication operation, ensuring production stays on schedule while maintaining our high standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Plan production priorities and coordinate workflow between fabrication, machining, assembly, and shipping to keep projects moving efficiently.
- Coach and develop our welding and fabrication team by providing guidance, accountability, and hands-on support that helps each employee succeed.
- Operate fabrication equipment and assist with welding and fabrication work as needed, leading by example on the shop floor.
- Review blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work instructions to ensure every project is built accurately and meets customer specifications.
- Monitor production performance, troubleshoot challenges, and implement practical improvements that increase efficiency while reducing downtime.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment while enforcing company safety procedures and quality standards.
- Collaborate with ownership, engineering, and sales to align production schedules, resolve issues, and deliver exceptional equipment on time.
