About The Position
We’re seeking a Welding Engineer III to support the advanced planning contract for the refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH) of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75). This position is 100% on-site in Newport News, VA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- 5 years of relevant exempt experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
- 3 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree.
- 0 years of experience with a Ph.D.
Responsibilities
- Develops, analyzes, researches, and designs welding techniques, procedures, and applications.
- Uses engineering principles to manipulate materials for fabrication and assembly processes.
- Prepares technical documentation in order to implement waterfront welding processes including specifications, analyses, standards, and restrictions.
- Creates new or modifies current welding methods, techniques, and procedures in order to substantiate welding theories.
