About The Position

This is a co-op opportunity designed to provide welding experience in a fabrication shop while the individual is still completing their schooling. The D.S. Requirements

• High School Diploma or in process of obtaining
• 0-1 Years of Experience in Welding and Fabrication
• Welding Certificates
• Blueprint Reading
• Mechanically Inclined
• Advanced Blueprint Interpretation
• Math Skills
• Standing, Walking, Kneeling: Up to 100%
• Lifting up to 60lbs: Up to 15%

Responsibilities

• Follow safety regulations (PPE)
• Pass 2G FCAW weld certification
• Interpret blueprints, follow weld procedures and measurements to plan layouts
• Weld small and large components
• Use overhead cranes
• Weld components in flat and horizontal position
• Study blueprints related to the items they will work on
• Ensure that all needed materials are available
• Maintain the welding tools they use
