About The Position

Kapco Inc. is looking for a Welding Cell Team Lead Person for the 1st shift at our Grafton, WI location. The ideal candidate for this position would be able to direct the workflow within the team to maximize machine utilization while balancing the work among the team members including running, setting up and supporting production where needed. This role involves training welders and welding robot operators on the running, setting up and troubleshooting of Welding Robots, semi-automatic and manual welding operations including associated support equipment. The Team Lead will also fine-tune the short-term production schedule based on availability of skilled team members and best use of equipment, effectively communicate and plan with support teams to coordinate needed support in a timely fashion, and ensure all required ISO procedures are followed and documentation is properly completed.

Requirements

3 to 5 years of experience in welding operations
Knowledge of robotic cells to make adjustments and troubleshoot problems and/or errors with the machines

Responsibilities

Directs the workflow within the team to maximize machine utilization while balancing the work among the team members including running, setting up and supporting production where needed.
Train welders and welding robot operators on the running, setting up and troubleshooting of Welding Robots, semi-automatic and manual welding operations including associated support equipment.
Fine tune the short-term production schedule based on availability of skilled team members and best use of equipment.
Effectively communicate and plan with support teams to coordinate needed support in a timely fashion.
