About The Position
Experienced full-time Welder needed in Tallapoosa, Ga for day/night shifts. Responsible for welding and fabricating structural steel component using MIG and/or stick welding while following blueprint and work instructions.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months welding experience preferred
- Ability to pass welding test/ certification
- Basic math and measuring skills required
- Able to work overtime/weekends when needed
Nice To Haves
- Production welding experience is a plus
- AWS certification helpful but not required
- Knowledge of steel alloys, welding material, and fabrication tools preferred
Responsibilities
- Set up welding tools and equipment
- Measure, cut, tack, weld, grind, and clean materials
- Read blueprints and weld symbols
- Operate welders, torches, drills, saws and other shop equipment
- Inspect finished welds for quality and accuracy
- Maintain equipment and keep work area clean
- Report equipment and keep work area clean
- Report equipment or quality issues to supervisor
