About The Position

The Welder is primarily responsible for reading, interpreting and executing routing, e-drawings, blueprint weld procedures, and process control/quality documents to TIG and MIG weld mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum per job specifications.

Requirements

  • Reading and interpreting routing, e-drawings, blueprint weld procedures, and process control/quality documents.
  • TIG and MIG welding of mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum per job specifications.
  • Knowledge of various mechanical and manual welding techniques, including TIG/MIG.
  • Ability to perform general sheet metal operations (drill and tap, hardware installation, parts separation, extrusion).
  • Ability to review dimensional characteristics and finish requirements against prints and quality standards.
  • Ability to conduct visual weld inspections.
  • Ability to collaborate with employees, operations, engineering, and sales teams.
  • Ability to maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and hand truck.
  • Ability to read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D model finish symbols.
  • Ability to utilize fixtures and necessary tools for weldments.
  • Ability to utilize inspection tools to measure parts.
  • Knowledge of standard AWS welding safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of ISO procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and company policies.
  • Regular, reliable on-site attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately punch in-and-out of work orders and record times and materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints.
  • Source the materials used in projects.
  • Weld materials using the correct materials to join the metals together.
  • Review finished work to ensure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the blueprints.
  • Maintain knowledge of various mechanical and manual welding techniques, including TIG/MIG.
  • Perform other general sheet metal operations when needed, including drill and tap, hardware installation, parts separation and extrusion.
  • Review dimensional characteristics and finish requirements of parts and assemblies to the requirements of the prints and quality standards.
  • Conduct visual weld inspections to ensure adherence to all routing specifications and high quality.
  • Collaborate with employees, operations, engineering and sales team to solve problems and recommend plans of improvement.
  • Maintain a neat, orderly and safe work environment.
  • Operate forklift and hand truck as needed.
  • Read and interpret 2D drawings and 3D model finish symbols for welding, grinding and all related production.
  • Utilize fixtures and necessary tools to successfully complete weldments.
  • Utilize inspection tools to measure parts to customer specifications.
  • Follow standard AWS welding safety procedures.
  • Follow ISO procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Regular, reliable on-site attendance is required.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by management.
