About The Position

This position involves performing welding operations on livestock equipment using appropriate jigs and ensuring machines are set correctly according to material requirements. The role also includes maintaining machinery, assisting in all areas of the department as needed, and being responsible for the safety and training of others. The Welder must comply with all documented procedures and the employee handbook, ensuring the quality and quantity of the finished product. A key aspect of the role is creating and maintaining a working team environment, good housekeeping, and performing routine preventative maintenance on associated equipment. The position requires responsible for safety, quality, and production with limited supervision, and performing any other tasks as requested by the Team Leader. Practicing safe working habits and following safety policies, procedures, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) are crucial. The role also involves working towards continuous improvement of product quality and ISO-9001 standards, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Requirements

Strong attention to detail.
Be able to read a tape measure.
Have basic mathematical ability.
Position will require lifting 30 to 70 pounds approximately 30% of the time.
