About The Position

As a Welder I, you will be responsible for laying out, fitting, tacking, and welding steel components and assemblies in accordance with blueprint specifications. Using a range of power tools and welding equipment, you’ll ensure precision, structural integrity, and a clean finish free of undercuts and weld spatter. Your work must meet strict dimensional and aesthetic standards, contributing directly to product quality and organizational success. This position is in Tulsa, Oklahoma and/or Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience using mig or tig welding
  • Must pass Pulmonary Function Test (PFT), if PAPR is required
  • Manufacturing experience required
  • Proficient in MIG welding and oxyacetylene torch use
  • Skilled in basic math and tape measure reading
  • Experienced with hand tools, drill/saw machinery, and overhead crane operation
  • Ability to use and operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and electric
  • Strict adherence to company-wide safety policies and procedures
  • Proactive promotion of safe practices
  • Addressing unsafe behaviors or conditions in a constructive and positive manner
  • Full compliance with all Alfa Laval policies and procedures

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED, preferred
  • industry background preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred
  • Prioritizing candidates who reside in the US or have an established presence in the area.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and follow instructions to execute weld procedures
  • Operate mig and/or tig welders, stick welding, grinders, plasma cutters, drill presses, and other tools
  • Familiar with welding carbon and aluminium steel
  • Assemble and weld parts with precision using clamps, bolts, and tack welds
  • Plan layouts and welding sequences for structural integrity and safety
  • Inspect and correct welds to meet quality standards
  • Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances
  • Perform routine maintenance and complete preventive checklists
  • Support material handling, loading/unloading, and workstation supply
  • Assist team leaders and train others as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout shift
  • Crosstrain across departments to expand skillset
  • Ability to use and operate hand tools, pneumatic tools, and electric
