About The Position

The Welder is responsible for the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of fixtures, baskets, racks, tooling, and production-related equipment used in heat treating operations. This position requires proficiency in welding various metals, interpreting blueprints and drawings, and supporting production requirements in a safe and efficient manner. The Welder plays a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, product quality, and on-time customer delivery.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick Welding Techniques.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of welding symbols and fabrication practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training, welding certification, or vocational education preferred.
  • Experience with industrial maintenance, fixture fabrication, and repair is a plus.
  • Experience working with heat-resistant alloys and stainless steels preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and other welding processes as required.
  • Fabricate, repair, and modify heat treat fixtures, baskets, racks, furnace components, and tooling.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal components to required specifications.
  • Repair cracks, wear damage, and distortion on production fixtures and tooling.
  • Operate welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and fabrication equipment safely.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and repair of heat treat equipment when needed.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and fabrication work performed.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with housekeeping standards.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality personnel to resolve equipment and tooling issues.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
