About The Position

Technibus is seeking experienced and motivated Generator Welders and Enclosure Welders and Fitters to join its manufacturing team in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The role fabricates and assembles generator enclosures and structural components used in power generation systems for mission-critical data centers. Candidates should bring experience in structural welding, blueprint reading, fitting and welding, and working with materials such as sheet metal and galvanized steel. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment are important. The role requires customer focus, a service-oriented attitude, attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to adapt to changes in daily activities. Travel and overtime or weekend work may be needed to meet customer and internal demands. Applicants must pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening and have a clean driving record.

Requirements

Experience with structural welding, blueprint reading, fitting, and welding.
Experience working with sheet metal and galvanized steel.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Customer focus and a service-oriented attitude.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to changes in daily activities.
Ability to travel and work overtime or weekends as needed to meet customer and in-house demands.
Must pass a background check and drug/alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG welding on structural steel, generator frames, and enclosure components.
Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate assembly.
Fit, align, and weld components according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
Measure, mark, and verify materials using a tape measure and other precision measuring tools.
Fabricate and assemble components using sheet metal and galvanized steel.
Install and work with insulation materials as part of the enclosure assembly process.
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow company safety procedures and quality standards.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to meet production schedules.
