About The Position

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Welder - 2nd Shift (Fittings/Cable Tray) at our Reno, NV facility! The hourly rate for this position is $28.07 + .50 Shift Differential per hour. CORE HOURS: 2:30PM - 11PM (Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times). Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Requirements

Must have a minimum of one year welding experience in a manufacturing environment (MIG/TIG).
Must have experience adjusting and troubleshooting welding equipment.
Experience identifying defects and measure workpiece to ensure conformance.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience with manufacturing fabrication
Experience with high volume, fast paced welding

Responsibilities

Perform simple repetitive tasks using bolts, screws, clips, hand tools, and other fastening devices.
Operate welding units for aluminum and steel; making minor adjustments as needed.
Remove excess weld and imperfections using grinders, brushes, chisels, or scrapers.
Work under close supervision using models, samples, or engineering drawings.
Support Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to 5S and visual mangement tools.
Participate in Kaizen events and improvement activities across the facility.
Train on material flow, shop orders, BOM and inspection sheets.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprint, and shop drawings accurately.
Operate welding units, machinery, and presses safely and proficiently.
Identify raw material types and gauges, using measuring tools like tape measures, scales, and calipers.
Understand and apply lean manufacturing and continuous improvement concepts.
