About The Position

For over 70 years, Tri-Arc Manufacturing has been a provider of state-of-the-art steel and aluminum rolling ladders and configurable platform products. Located 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, Tri-Arc upholds Pittsburgh's industrial heritage by manufacturing its products in the U.S. Tri-Arc is an industry leader, offering a wide variety of high-quality products designed for customer safety and efficiency. Tri-Arc is currently seeking steel MIG welders for both first shift (6:00 am to 2:30 pm) and second shift (2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, with an additional $0.60 per hour). The company offers a competitive starting wage of $24.33 for first shift and $24.93 for second shift. Additionally, Tri-Arc provides a generous benefits package. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to join the United Steelworkers Union after completing a 520-hour probationary period. All applicants must pass a welding test and provide their own welding equipment. This role is ideal for welders seeking challenging work and the chance to develop into skilled craftspeople.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, or tend welding machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.
Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures to bond, heat-treat, or solder fabricated metal components.
Lay out, position, align, and fit components together (usually in fixtures).
Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
Set up equipment and weld parts, using MIG welding equipment.
Assemble parts by bolting and riveting.
Operate various punch presses, drill presses, shears, saws, and tube bending equipment.
Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
